Introduction
MARRY’EM LTD (“The Company”, “we,” and “us”) respects the privacy of its users (“you”) and has developed this Privacy Policy to describe the information we collect, how that information may be used, sharing of information and your choices with regards to such uses and disclosures. All usrs must read, understand and accept the policies and practices described in this document.
If you have any questions about our privacy practices, please refer to the end of this Policy for information on how to contact us. This Privacy Policy is enforced in line with the Terms of Service.
What information do we collect
During your registration and throughout your usage of our app and services, we may collect Personal Information including Sensitive Data and other information. In this case “Personal Information” means individually identifiable information that would allow us to determine the actual identity of users. Sensitive data may include information, comments or content (e.g. videos, pictures, profile information, gender, lifestyle etc), details of work and employment that you choose to provide to us and this information may reveal your ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, gender, nationality ec. By providing Sensitive Data to us, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of Sensitive Data as permitted by applicable privacy laws.
In order to use our services (i.e. register as a user with Marry’em) you will be required to provide the following types of data:
- Data related to your identity: the registration form must be completed to access the services and this form includes your personal identity data as well as identity verification documentation.
- Contact information: you will be required to provide your email, mobile number (in order to register and to receive text alerts, verification data etc). you email address and phone number will not be visible to the public or other users and this information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
- Location Data (geolocation): In order to enable users to find matches and connect with people nearby or within their chosen location and to facilitate virtual or real life meet-ups, user location data will be collected. You will be asked for permission to collect and process your location/geolocation in order to allow us to identify users who agreed to this.
- Transaction Data: The Company does not collect or process any bank data. The Apple App Store and Google Play Store have opted to refrain from sending certain data to mobile applications, which includes any banking and financial information. Such data is collected and processed solely by the above platforms, and we do not have the option of changing this payment method.
- Mobile Data: When you use the App, we may collect servicer logs which may include information such as IP addresses, operating systems or application crashes.
- Photos and images: In order to prevent fraudulent registration, we use a ‘selfie’ from you as part of the registration process and compare this with your identity verification documents provided. This is accessible by the admin staff of the Marry’em who conduct the checks, and this data is deleted immediately following the checks.
In addition to the above you we may also collect location information from your device when you download or use our services. We may also collect and store information you provide to us, including identifying information such as your name, address, email address and telephone number, and, if you transact business with us, financial information. You may also provide us photos, a personal description and information about your gender and preferences for recommendations, such as search distance, age range and gender. If you chat with other users in the app, you provide us the content of your chats, and if you contact us with a customer service or other inquiry, we will have access to the content of that communication.
By using the Service, you are authorising us to gather, analyse and retain data related to the provision of the Service. When you provide personal information through our Service, the information may be sent to servers located in the or outside the UK and countries around the world where data protection laws may differ.
How Do We Collect Data
Your information may be collected from your device(s) and your activities on our services. There are several mechanisms of information collection
Cookies, Use of Cookies and Similar Data
When using our services, we may assign your device one or more cookies or technologies that facilitate personalisation (to personalise your experience) or to facilitate access to the services. The use of these cookies may involve automatic collection of information regarding your activity on our services including the pages you visit, the time and date of your visits and the links you click. If we advertise, we (or third parties) may use certain data collected on our Service to show you advertisements associated with our app and services on other sites or applications.
Information Collected Automatically.
When you use our services, we automatically collect information from your device or browser. This could include your IP address, device ID and type, browser information, languages, operating system used by your device, geographic location while the app is running, access times and any referring website addresses.
We embed pixel tags (also called web beacons or clear GIFs) on web pages, ads, and emails. These tiny, invisible graphics are used to access cookies and track user activities (such as how many times a page is viewed).
We use pixel tags to measure the popularity of our features and services. Ad companies also use pixel tags to measure the number of ads displayed and their performance (such as how many people clicked on an ad).
Information Collected By Third-Parties For Advertising Purposes.
We may allow service providers, advertising companies and ad networks, and other third parties to display advertisements on our Service and elsewhere. These companies may use tracking technologies, such as cookies or web beacons, to collect information about users who view or interact with their advertisements. We do not provide any non-masked or non-obscured personal information to third parties.
What Do We Do With The Information We Collect
Marry’em may use information collected about you for the following:
- Manage your account and provide you with ongoing support.
- For analysis and research regarding your use of or interest in our products and services or content.
- Improve our products and services.
- Deliver and manage our products and services and business.
- For communication purposes including communicating with you via email, telephone/mobile about products or services that may be of interest to you (either from us or other third parties).
- Website or mobile application analytics.
- Verify your eligibility for various aspects of our products or services.
- To develop, display and track content and advertising tailored to your interests on our Service and other sites.
- Providing our advertisements to you when you visit other sites.
- Enforce or exercise any rights in our Terms of Use
- Perform specific functions or services as otherwise described to you at time of collection.

Who do we share information with
Personal Information
We do not share your personal information with others except as indicated in this Privacy Policy or when we inform you and give you an opportunity to opt out of having your personal information shared. We may share personal information with:
- Service Providers – Your information, including personal and financial information may be shared with third parties that perform certain services for us or on our behalf. These service providers may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions but are not permitted to share or use such information for any other purposes. These services may include (but are not limited to):
- Providing identity verifications and member screening services
- Fulfilling orders
- Providing customer service and marketing assistance
- Performing sales analysis
- Tracking advertisements
- Providing technical support to us
- Specialized match making services – Marry’em may offer personalised match making services. If you choose this option (if and when it is available) Your matchmaker will be able to view your profile and responses to any applicable questionnaires.
- Other Marry’em group businesses – Your profile and personal information such as your name and contact information as well as photos, interests, transactions and activities may be shared with other Marry’em group companies.
- Legal Disclosures – we may be required, legally to share your information in response to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. In such cases, we may raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us.
- Criminal Activity – We may share your information when we believe these disclosures are appropriate in connection with efforts to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal or criminal activity, suspected fraud or other wrongdoings. This also includes protecting and defending the rights, property or safety of our company, our users, employees or others and to company with applicable law or corporate with law enforcement and to enforce our terms of user and other agreements or policies.
- In connection with a substantial corporate Transactions – For example if our business were to be sold, partake in divestiture, merger, consolidation or asset sale or in the event of bankruptcy.
Information Shared with Other Users
When you register to use our services, your user profile and information you provide is viewable by other users of the service. Other users will be able to view information you have provided to us and have chosen to publish through your profile. This includes your personal information such as your first name, age, gender, religious beliefs, location and information you may have in common with the person viewing your profile. If you choose to say ‘yes’ to a person and match with them your will, be able to chat to them the content of the chat is viewable to your match.
Aggregated And Non-Personal Data
We may use and share non-personal information we collect under any of the above circumstances. We may also share it with third parties to develop and deliver targeted advertising on our Service and on websites or applications of third parties, and to analyse and report on advertising users see. We also may share aggregated, non-personal information, or personal information in hashed, non-human readable form, with third parties, including advisors, advertisers and investors, for the purpose of conducting general business analysis, advertising, marketing, or other business purposes. For example, we may engage a data provider who may collect web log data from you (including IP address and information about your browser or operating system), or place or recognise a unique cookie on your browser to enable you to receive customised ads or content. The cookies may reflect de-identified demographic or other data linked to data you voluntarily have submitted to us (such as your email address), that we may share with a data provider solely in hashed, non-human readable form. We may also share your geolocation information in de-identified form with our other companies and third parties for the above purposes. To opt out of the sharing of your geolocation information, please discontinue use of the application.
Accessing, Changing or Correcting Your Information
You have the ability to review and update most of your personal information within the service by opening your account and going to settings. There are some details on your profile that have been verified as part of your registration. If you wish to make any changes to this information, please contact us directly via the link provided at the bottom of this page.
Applicable privacy laws may allow you the right to access and/or request the correction of errors or omissions in your personal information that is in our custody or under our control. Our Data Protection Officer can be contacted via the ‘contact us’ link at the bottom of this document for further assistance. We will respond to your data protection requests per the timelines permitted by applicable data protection regulations and make every effort to respond as accurately and completely as possible. Any corrections made to personal information will be promptly sent to any organisation to which it was disclosed.
Certain exceptional circumstances may prevent us from being able to provide you with access to certain personal information we hold and for security purposes not all information is accessible to the data protection officer. If we are unable to access or correct your information as requested, we will notify you in writing within 30 days for the reason for refusal.
Third-Party Websites and Services
You may access third party/other websites by clicking on links in various places in our app/website (e.g. advertisements). These third-party websites do not operate under this Privacy Policy and Marry’em or its group companies cannot control or be held liable for information collected by Third-party websites you choose to access. These Third-party websites may independently collect and retain your information. We recommend that you consult the privacy policy of all third party websites you visit through links on our services.
Data associated with minors
Marry’em restricts the use of our service to individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under the age of 18. Posting information about minors is forbidden under our Terms of Use.
Child Safety Standards
Marry’em is an adults-only matrimonial platform. Registration and use are strictly limited to individuals aged 18 years or older. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts, access the service, or share personal information.
We use age declarations and may use identity verification measures to help confirm eligibility. If we become aware that a person under 18 has registered, we will suspend or terminate the account, remove associated personal information where legally permitted, and may report suspected child exploitation or abuse to the relevant authorities.
Users must not upload, share, request, or distribute content involving minors in a manner that is unlawful, exploitative, abusive, or otherwise violates our Terms of Service. Any such content or behaviour will result in immediate enforcement action.
How we Protect Your Information
We take a number of security measures to safeguard your personal information from unauthorised access and disclosure. However, no system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your personal information, chats or other communication will always remain secure. Users are advised to be practice caution with how they handle and disclose their personal information.
Our services allow users to post information about themselves and others as well as communicate with others in a multitude of formats and mechanisms (chats, messaging, video calls, voice calls, image sharing etc). Any information users choose to disclose voluntarily on publicly viewable pages can be collected and used by others (e.g. posting your email address publicly may result in unsolicited emails). We cannot take responsibility , be held liable to or control what other users may do with information you voluntarily disclose and although these services are governed by our Terms of Use, we advise all users to exercise discretion and caution with respect to information you share.
By using our services, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues, such as security breaches. We may post a notice on our Service if a security breach occurs. We may also send an email to you at the email address you have provided to us.
Onward Transfer and International Processing
We are an expanding organization with users and operations in multiple countries. We have therefore developed our data practices to ensure information is appropriately protected, but we cannot always know where personal information may be access or processed. Our Primary data centres are held in the United Kingdom/Ireland, but we retain the right to transfer data to our offices or data centers outside of this remit.
We may also choose to employ other organisations, service providers or individuals to perform functions on our behalf and these individuals may access information from other countries outside of the United Kingdom. However, we will make every effort to seek assurances that any information provided to them or accessed by them is safeguarded adequately and in line with this Privacy Policy as well as requirements of applicable laws and regulations.
Users travelling to other countries or regions not governed by data protection laws, agree to the transfer of their personal data (including sensitive data) by us from your region to countries these countries whose laws and regulations may not provide the same level of protection that exist in the European Union, United Kingdom or the US. By providing your personal information, you consent to any transfer and processing in accordance with this Policy.
Data Retention and Deletion
Data Retention
We will retain your data for a period of 3 years following deletion or disabling your account for analytical and recordkeeping purposes as well as to prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, enforce our terms and conditions, take actions required by law or to protect the integrity of our services or users. At the end of this retention period, personally identifiable information associated with the account will be anonymised. In order to preserve the integrity of the platform the anonymised member data will continue to be stored. If certain information has already been provided to third parties as described in this Privacy Policy, retention of that information will be subject to those third parties' policies.
Data Deletion
When you request for your account to be deleted, the exact time of request will be recorded and your account, profile and photos will no longer be shown to other members/users of the service. As part of the confirmation of your request to delete your account, you will receive a confirmation email but no further communication will be sent to you from us. Once the 3 year retention period has lapsed, all of your personally identifiable information will be deleted permanently.
Other Exceptions
In some circumstances, we may have a request for data from law enforcement with regards to conversations on a particular members account many months after they have left our service. This may be as a result of a new or ongoing investigation. In these cases we are unable to immediately delete all information on request by a user as this may prevent such evidence being supplied.
Block history will be maintained for this period to prevent users repeatedly harassing other members after being blocked. This is in order to protect all members. Should this be immediately deleted it would allow a blocked member to rematch with a member in order to message/harass them again.
Phone number/email address/login credentials are retained during this period to prevent users creating multiple duplicate accounts and hence prevent harassment of other members.
Third Parties
This Privacy Policy does not create rights enforceable by third parties or require disclosure of any personal information relating to users of the website or app.
Changes to This Policy
We retain the right to update and change this Privacy Policy in line with changes in the law, our processes, data collection use and practices, changes to the features of our service or technology. Any changes to the Privacy policy will be reflected by version control information at the top of this Policy.
This document will always be available to users under ‘settings’ and also on our website and users are advised to check regularly to ensure they are aware of any changes. Users will receive notification of any material changes to this policy (via reasonable means including notifications through the service or via email).
Your continued use of our services following changes to this policy means you consent to and accept those changes. If you do not consent to such changes, you can delete your account.
